Mailing of absentee ballots begins Monday, May 7, in Jackson County.  Voters may also cast early ballots through June 4 at the Jackson County Courthouse, 201 W. Platt St., Maquoketa.  Hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm weekdays.  On Saturday, June 2nd, the Auditor's Office will be open the same hours for early voting.

Those voting on Primary Election Day, June 5, may be required to show valid ID at the polls.  Acceptable forms of identification include a driver's license, non-operator IDs, U.S. passports, military IDs, veteran IDs or voter ID cards.

When requesting an absentee ballot by mail, be sure to include your Iowa Driver's License or Non-Operator ID Number or your four-digit Voter PIN,
